MTN Edge Thermopolis Thor is an exceptional stallion, he is 4 years old, stands 16 hands tall, he is heavy boned, very respectful and willing just like his father (Truwest Silver Suede) Thor has 100% foundation Morgan bloodlines. He has a calm and relaxed demeanor, he is the only horse I have ever trained that didn’t even break a sweat the first time I harnessed him and taught him to drive. He is great in the mountains and well behaved around mares, even if they are in heat. He is smokey black, so there a 50% chance of his foals getting the cream gene, if you are looking for a buckskin or palomino he would be a good choice for your mare. Coming out of Jared Young’s MTN Edge breeding program, he is also CA for gait, so there is also a 50% possibility for gait. With the outcrossed blood, size and bone, he will bring to your gaited horses, it is worth the gamble of a CA foal. For non gaited mares, if you get a CA foal it means a faster walk and smoother ride than your CC non gaited horses. He is also a great prospect to breed to your non Morgan mare, you won’t be disappointed with your foal. I got started in the breed with a cross and found I wanted more Morgan stamina, temperament, confirmation and sound feet. These horses will excel in all areas, but especially in mountain and ranch work. As someone who primarily hunts, packs and trail rides, I wonder why it took so long to find that the Morgan is the perfect horse for the job.
