I’m selling a 1931 Martin 00-21, early-year production. This is a real pre-war Martin with Brazilian rosewood back and sides and an Adirondack top — the kind of guitar that immediately makes you slow down and just play.

Plays & Sounds

It’s incredibly responsive and alive, especially as a 12-fret 00. Light touch fingerpicking brings out a warm, woody tone with a ton of detail, and when you lean into it, it opens up with that dry, punchy pre-war character.

Condition

• A 90+ year old guitar that’s been played and then carefully preserved, which is a big part of why it sounds as open and resonant as it does today.
• Neck has been professionally reset and plays well
• Bridge has been thinned at some point
• Visible wear on the top between the soundhole and bridge (from years of playing)
• Finish appears original with normal vintage wear (checking, marks, etc.)
• Structurally, it’s solid and ready to be played.
