VenmoFor sale is a very good to excellent-condition, late 19th-century Victorian piano stool by the legendary Charles Parker Company of Meriden, CT. This is not a reproduction; it is a documented piece of American furniture history in remarkable functional condition.
Provenance & Authenticity: Maker’s Mark: The original cast-iron swivel bracket is clearly embossed with "THE CHAS PARKER CO" (see photo).
Factory Stamp: Underside of the seat features the authentic "P" factory stamp used for component matching in the 1890s.
Era: Circa 1895–1905, matching the official Parker "Professional" catalog series.
Features & Condition: Adjustable Height: Exceptional "Professional Range" from 19" to 24".
The heavy-duty cast iron mechanism swivels and raises perfectly—no wobbling or seizing.
The Feet: Iconic "Eagle Claw" feet with clear, unchipped glass balls. This is the most sought-after feature and is rare to find in this condition.
The Wood: Solid quarter-sawn oak with beautiful "tiger stripe" grain and a rich, original aged patina.
Note: Claws show natural, minor loosening due to 120+ years of wood shrinkage—a hallmark of an authentic antique that has not been tampered with. This is still a very usable piece and the feet can be tightened.
Dimensions: 14" seat diameter. Location: Millcreek/SLC area. Payment: Cash or Venmo preferred.
