ApplePayI recently took my 2014 SQ5 to Audi to run a diagnostic on my MMI system because it wouldn’t link to my phone to play music. Found out the MMI system was dead so I bought a used one from EBay (with guarantee) and it work except now it won’t play sound due to the Audi security system. I would need to go pay another almost $300 to have them hook up the ODIS and unlock my MMI. Is there anyone out there who has the capability of doing this without costing me $300???
Here’s what I found out…
Dealer Removal (Official Method): Typically, this lock can only be cleared by an authorized Audi dealer using ODIS (Offboard Diagnostic Information System). They must connect your car to Audi's central database to verify the part and "handshake" it with your VIN.
