This is a stunning and beautiful one of a kind find. It has a lovely pattern on the metal silver frame. It is embossed and has a cut out style. There are five cherubs on each side of the purse frame. By the clasp at the top of the purse are three cherubs. There are also cherubs on each edge of the purse frame. The frame has the same wonderful detail on each side, cherubs, leaves, and flowers. It is a heavy frame. This has a interlocking silver chain for the handle. The dark brown velvet and fun tassel at the bottom of the purse are in excellent condition. The inside of the purse is lined with a lighter brown satin/silk material. It shows some wear, which is very common for something this old. This is a large purse. I believe this is from the 1800's to very early 1900's. It has a Edwardian and a Art Nouveau feel to it. Overall the purse measures 20 inches long. From the top of the chain handle to the bottom of the tassel. From the bottom of the purse to the bottom of the tassel is 5 inches. Serious inquiries only. Helping a parent to sell.
