Beautiful vintage miniature brass coal scuttle with a lovely hammered (repoussé) finish. It is stamped "Made in England" and has a "Zevenaar" export mark on the bottom, giving it some great history. Originally used as a tabletop sugar scuttle or ash receiver, it makes a perfect little trinket dish, catch-all, or small planter for succulents. It has a gorgeous, natural aged patina that I have left completely untouched for that authentic vintage look, but it could easily be polished up with some Brasso if you prefer a bright shine! Solid brass with a swinging bail handle and a pedestal base. Great condition with normal vintage wear.
