ApplePayImagine this: It's a Saturday morning. You load up the family, all five of you, and head up the mountain. The kids are buckled in with seatbelts, full doors keeping everyone secure, and the full windshield cutting the wind as you climb. The trail opens up, you drop into a technical section, and the 999cc twin-cylinder engine pulls hard while the 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission gives you real, gear-to-gear response. No belt slippage, no hesitation, just power to the ground. That evening, you fold down the rear QuickFlip® seats, convert the back into a dump bed, and haul a load of firewood back to camp without missing a beat.
That's life with the Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe.
What Makes This Machine Different
Most side-by-sides run a CVT belt drive, a rubber belt that stretches, overheats, and eventually leaves you stranded mid-trail with a $100+ repair and a ruined day. The Pioneer 1000 doesn't work that way. Honda's 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission uses steel gears and hydraulic clutches, the same automotive-grade approach that eliminates the "rubber band" feel of a CVT and creates a direct, mechanical connection between engine and wheels. Steel doesn't stretch or snap under heat like rubber does. This is the drivetrain equivalent of driving a real truck, not a snowmobile stuffed into a roll cage.
The DCT has an excellent track record for reliability and high mileage. There's very little wear and tear on the transmission since there's virtually no clutch slippage, and shifts are quick and precise with no possibility of damaging abrupt shifts or missed shifts.
5 Seats. Dump Bed. Zero Compromise.
Honda's exclusive QuickFlip® rear seats open easily and fold flat when not in use, maximizing both versatility and utility, giving you generous bed capacity as well as the ability to carry two extra passengers. No other UTV in its class does this. Haul your crew to the top, flip the seats, haul gear back down. It's that simple.
All Pioneer 1000-5 models come with a sophisticated Electric Power Steering system that reacts to both vehicle speed and steering input, delivering precise driving feedback while also reducing steering effort and driver fatigue, even with the front differential locked in technical terrain.
The Specs That Matter
Why Buy Used Honda Over New Competition?
Honda Pioneers tend to hold their value better than belt-driven models from Can-Am and Polaris, thanks to their reliability and low-maintenance needs. With fewer parts prone to wear, Honda Pioneers often cost less over time, giving you a greater return on investment. You're not just buying a used machine. You're buying into a drivetrain that was overbuilt from the factory and barely broken in.
This machine is ready for your next adventure, whether that's trails, ranch work, hunting camp, or a weekend out with the whole family.
