VenmoIts time to bring your networking game to the next level and add this thing of beauty and speed to your rack. Its got 48 10Gb/1Gb SFP+ ports plus 4 QSFP+ 40Gb ports that can be configured into 4 - 10Gb ports for a grand total of 64 10Gb ports. Youll need to brush up on your CLI skills in order to program this beast. Google was my very best friend in the beginning.
All ports are functional to my knowledge, i only used about 30 of them at the most.
This switch was meant to move data in a data center so low noise was not a concern in its design. I purchased a second fan unit and some quieter fans in hopes of quieting it down and while I had some success, I learned that the power supplies are the primary culprits. I will include both fan assemblies, a stock one and the modified one, and you can run what you like.
It does come with 2 power supplies.
I have 24 SFP+ to RJ45 1Gb modules I can include for 7.50 each or all 24 for $150. They are 10Gtek brand and I had no issues using them.
if you want to play with the 40Gb links, I have a Dell 2 port 40Gb Connect-X 3 pcie card for $50. it's been flashed to ethernet mode. if you're a glutton for punishment you could flash it to IB and use it that way as well.
I'd be keeping this, but I cant keep in my house anymore because of the noise and unfortunately I have nowhere outside to put it. im also downsizing my homelab and it's a little overkill for my current needs.
Let me know if you have questions. Thanks for looking!
