Bear is a 3-year-old Lab/Husky mix. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. He’s a smart, well-trained dog who knows sit, come, stay (on his bed), roll over, shake, and fetch. He is potty trained and kennel trained.

Bear LOVES toys and is very food-motivated — you can teach him just about anything with treats. He’s playful, social with other dogs, and happiest when he has space to run. He also loves to snuggle and be around his people.

He does great with structure and is trained on both an e-collar and a perimeter system.

The reason we are rehoming him: Bear has shown some territorial/protective behavior. He has had a few biting incidents (not severe) involving unfamiliar people entering his space and one incident with a young neighbor child who got into his bed area. While he has been good with our own kids, we don’t feel we are the right long-term fit given these concerns.

Because of this, Bear would do best in a home: • Without young children • With an experienced dog owner • Where he has space to run and clear boundaries • That understands how to manage territorial behavior

We love Bear and want the best situation for him where he can thrive safely.

We will include all of his supplies (beds, toys, food, leash, collars, perimeter system, e-collar, etc.), and we’re happy to dog sit for free anytime you travel (as long as we’re in town).
