VenmoMeet Millie! She is a Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix. Millie was born on September 16, 2025, making her almost 7 months old. Millie is up to date on all of her vaccinations throughout the next year of her life. Millie has been DNA and health tested through embark and I will share that information with you. But she is clear from any health risks! Millie has been a joy to work with as she is super intelligent and willing to learn anything for treats!
Commands Millie knows well: Come, over here, spin, off, sit, hop up, kennel, down, potty, stay, middle, no, yes, leave it, let’s go, touch, etc. (I’m sure there’s more but I can’t remember right now)
Millie’s quirks/favorites: Her all time favorite toy is a stuffed unicorn. She loves independent play but will fetch the ball a few times until she decides she’d rather do her own thing. She loves going on walks, rope toys, balls, balls with ropes, and running zoomies. Even though Millie loves stuffed toys she will absolutely destroy them, even the super tough ones. She loves chews of any kind, especially cow hooves and bully sticks. She also loves sweet potatoes.
The reason Millie ultimately failed out of service work for me: Millie is a super intelligent, highly driven pup. She uses her eyes and ears more than her nose and I am looking to train an anaphylaxis alert dog, meaning I need a dog for nose work. So while being an amazing pup she just isn’t what I’m looking for in my next service dog. Additionally, Millie is fantastic at her commands, and leaving things alone while out in public. She just doesn’t have an ‘off switch’ to help her relax while waiting at work-could be that she’s still just a young pup.
All things Millie: Millie is a puppy with puppy energy. I don’t have kids, but she is good with my nephew. Millie is kennel trained, she is good being left in a run or kennel inside during the day. She doesn’t have accidents and can go upwards of 4-6+ hours if needed. Millie is randomly afraid of airplanes and birds. She doesn’t run away or anything, she just stops what she’s doing and is ready to bolt to you for safety. I have no clue why this is and have tried to work on it with her while outside. Millie RARELY barks. It’s so rare that I honestly don’t even know what it sounds like because she’s barked maybe 3 times in her life. She doesn’t bark at the door, at people, or at other dogs. She really doesn’t bark about anything. Millie is great around other dogs, she can be a bit shy at first. But then she warms up! At the dog park Millie loves to herd the other dogs around in groups, it’s pretty cool to see. She also loves playing chase and loves being chased.
Millie is a super fun pup, I love her a whole lot and wish I could keep her while training a new service dog prospect but I just can’t. Two puppies would be too much for me to handle.
I appreciate you taking the time to read and learn about Millie, she’s a special pup and I want her to go to a home who will treat her well and love her with all of their hearts.
I’d love to chat more about her and send any additional pictures you may like!
If you’ve made it this far and she seems like the perfect fit, we can talk about the price. I really want her to go to an amazing home as she is an amazing pup.
