For Sale: 2018 Northstar Laredo SC & 2015 Silverado 3500 Duramax LTZ – Both for $60,000 (Lowered Price) – Will sell the camper w/o the truck if that’s all you need.
Selling due to health issues.
Our truck is a perfect fit for this camper. The 6.6L Duramax is barely broken in at 87,639 miles. In addition to adding the receiver hitch we installed Hellwig Big Wig airbags (the Big Wigs have a wider diameter than normal bags) which allow you to use less air pressure = smoother ride. We installed the Air-Lift Wireless Air kit to maintain the desired air pressure (depending on if the camper is on or off the truck). We also installed a Hellwig rear anti-sway bar to prevent excessive leaning while cornering. The combo of the airbags and anti-sway bar on the 1 ton truck with this fairly light-weight camper almost gives you “like stock” handling. The remote controlled HappiJac camper legs & Torklift adjustable Fastguns & frame mounted camper tiedowns make for easy loading and unloading. I also added WeatherTech front floor liners & 4 WeatherTech heavy duty mudflaps.
The tires are in great condition! The rear All-Terrain tires only have 47 miles on them (mounted Feb 2026) and the front All-Terrain tires only have 13,045 miles on them (mounted June 2023). Fuel filter and transmission fluid & filter were changed 12/7/25. Engine oil and filter changed 2/19/26. Many features are included in this truck with its Duramax Plus package, LTZ Plus package and the Z71 Offroad package: Allison transmission, Auto locking rear axle, Trailer equipment Package w built-in trailer controller, Stability control w trailer sway control & hill start assist, power folding/extending trailering mirrors, 18” polished aluminum wheels, Memory driver & Pass front heated & cooled leather seats, Tilt & telescoping heated leather steering wheel, power windows & door locks w remote engine start, power adjustable pedals, dual zone climate control, 110V AC, Bluetooth, USB, universal home remote, My-link audio system with 8” color touch screen with Nav, Bose sound system, front and rear parking assist, power sunroof, twin tube Rancho shocks, underbody skid plates, Hill descent control, cargo box LED lighting, roof marker lamps and an engine block heater, Living in the desert, we wanted plenty of fresh water (this has 40 gallons) and we wanted solid sides and good insulation.Might seem hard to believe but the 60” x 80” queen bed is not only bigger than the queen in our motorhome (60x74) but it’s also more comfortable. We love the cassette toilet for its ease of dumping at so many easy to find locations. Although my wife almost always showers inside, I mostly use the outside shower when boondocking. The Auto ignition furnace heats it up quickly when necessary. It has a built-on ladder and a walk-on roof for easy cleaning and inspection. It has Gas-filled thermal (good insulation) pane push-out windows with screen or black-out shades. The gray tank is 13 gallons with a garden hose drain adaptor; no need to carry a big slingy hose for dumping. It has a large “indoor” Battery compartment that stays warm & will hold 2 Group 31 batteries. I currently have two 100 Ah Lithium batteries in it. I upgraded the converter for the lithium batteries. The roof vent fan has a Fantastic fan cover so you can leave it open in the rain. The dining table is a very easy to use Lagun swing-away table system. I added a wireless rear view camera and a hard-wired built-in surge protector with a code display in the kitchen. For the size of the camper it’s amazing how much storage space it has!
Other options ordered: 3.8’ Dometic CR10 12V compressor refrigerator (cools quicker and uses less power than the 3 way). Coleman rooftop AC, Carefree side awning, roof mounted 160-watt solar panel, insulation upgrade package (foil faced hand fitted block foam in both the roof & walls), Kenwood stereo w Bluetooth & 4 speakers, 24” 12 volt TV on swing mount, Heiki vent/skylight over the bed for star gazing or emergency exit, rear storage bumper with drop down step, electric camper jacks w remote, outside Lagun table mount (easily move the inside table to the outside wall mount), 2nd LP tank w dual regulator, overhead cabinet w mirror in the bathroom.
We would like to sell as a combo but will sell the camper and Fastguns w/o the truck. Be aware that this camper is too heavy for a half-ton pickup.
