Ranger is an 11 year old gelding with a big motor and will cover country. Good to pick up all four feet and loads easy. Good in a group of horses and is easy to catch. He loves attention and is eager to please. Ranger is quick on his feet and well trained. He neck reins, moves well off leg pressure, and will side pass. Before I purchased him he was a cowboys everyday horse and had been used branding and gathering. In the four years I’ve owned him I used him only for trail riding. Ranger is very sure footed, carefully picks his path on rough terrain, and crosses water.

Now for the bad…with time off he can be cold backed. Will buck and toss his head some. Will hang back sometimes after you first do up the cinch. I had one farrier he did well for, others he struggled with. That being said he’s always been good for his rider to pick out feet and pull shoes. Unfortunately I have not been able to give him the time he needs. Ranger needs a refresher to bring him back to his full potential and someone who can use him consistently. All his shots and a coggins test (negative) was done 2/28/2026.
