Belt driven. This projector is in pristine condition. there are no strains in the springs or issues with the belts. The wooden box container is near mint with hardly any signs of wear. Includes a working light bulb. those can be hard to come by. It has been tested and plays perfectly and no scratches on the lense and includes a take up reel.
