In an age where a man’s word is his bond, I give you mine: you may set a novice or a lady upon this horse and rest easy. He was the very creature that taught my wife the way of the saddle; though she began with no knowledge of the rein, Winchester bore her with such patience and grace that he never gave a moment’s worry. He is a "Sunday school horse" when he needs to be, forgiving of a heavy hand or a wavering seat.

I have put a great deal of my own life and labor into this horse, and he shows the polish of every hour spent. He has been my shadow and my strength across countless miles. Whether fording a stream, working the herd, or traveling the long road, Winchester is "all horse." He does not spook at the sudden or the strange; he stands firm where others might bolt. He is easy to shoe, loads without a fight, and will stand tied as long as the sun is in the sky.

He is more than mere livestock; he is a greater friend than most men deserve. Were it not for these difficult times, he would never leave my sight. I seek for him a new master who understands the value of a loyal beast—one who will treat him with the respect his service has earned.
