Venmolatest guitar purchased 10/25, upgraded to locking tuners $105 and white wingtip tuners buttons $20 this is a Sweetwater exclusive model @$1199 or $1420 w/tax. modded it to look like the s2 version with the white lockers and reversed rhythm pickup, also made headstock look like s2 (see comparison pics). In new condition with very little playing time (I have 9 guitars and my arthritis is making me play less.) This version comes unique with a Bubinga top instead of maple. Housing a 58/15 LT “S” in the bridge and neck positions and a Narrowfield DD (Deep Dish) “S” in the middle spot, the SE Special Semi-Hollow stands as a tonal chameleon. While the PRS 58/15 LT “S” pickups balance vintage character with modern clarity to deliver the sweet — yet articulate — sound and rich harmonic overtones of vintage humbuckers, the Narrowfield DD captures the peak characteristics of a humbucker, a P-90, a traditional single-coil, and a mini humbucker, merging them into a distinctively voiced and carefully tuned force of punchy laser-focused tones. Top it off with a 5-way selector switch and coil tap switching system, and this guitar can morph from chimey cleans to full crunch in an instant.
