This scarce Tucker Corporation stock certificate was issued in 1947 and features the printed signature of president and founder Preston Tucker. Tucker was thrust into the modern pop culture in 1988 after the release of the movie Tucker: The Man and His Dream starring Jeff Bridges and directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
Tucker was an automobile entrepreneur who manufactured the Tucker 48, nicknamed the "Tucker Torpedo". The Tucker 48 was billed as the car of the future with revolutionary design features including disc brakes, seatbelts, and even headlights that would swivel when the car turns. What followed was a crazy story ripe for Hollywood that included stock fraud, a corporate takeover, a courtroom battle, and even Howard Hughes. In the end, only 50 Tucker cars were ever produced.
This certificate is highly collectible! It's in great shape and I'm asking $100 cash. Calls or texts accepted.
