Drummer of a particular age looking for playing opportunities. I can give you authentic 50s 60s 70s 80s beats and grooves. (Pre drum machines, computer trax, and AI). I played all the joyous, fun, captivating music of the culture and times, the zeitgeist (spelled correctly btw). The essential good stuff of all the movements, Hippies, Disco, Motown (love) protest songs, war songs, etc. All the sounds of the day, the very week they came out; the entire---and ever so popular, Casey Kasem Top 40 radio show. Everything from Ventures to Neil Diamond to The Allman Brothers to Englebert ? (Google him) Janis J, Bee Gees, Olivia Newton John, EW&F, and lots of Disco, KC Sunshine Band, horn bands, and a Chicago tribute band (fav). And James Brown---filled-in once for his drummer Clyde Stubblefield. You get the picture, variety is my wheelhouse, my baliwick, my groove, my thing... what I dig most. I am very good at this, unbelievably well-versed. I played in a lot of show bands, backing up entertainers... old school Vegas schtick in Vegas. Learned what "entertaining" means from the original members of Spike Jones (great fun, lmao), acts with Vaudeville and theatrical vibe and bent. A Half-Time Superbowl, # 19, Miami lost to 49ers. Forgot the score .. but I'm good a remembering musical scores... nuck nuck nuck ! (Three Stooges, no not Iggy). I was always the baby of the band by 30 years, so I am still young enough, not arthritic or feeble, just verbose and slightly annoying. Toured with numerous original Country artists --- Most of which have stopped playing... and breathing. I play real corn bread country, simple and danceable... gots to be danceable always! I am still young enough, or at least immature enough, that I still wanna have fun, I can play exactly what is needed, and do it with finesse and grace, and energetic stage presence. I have transpo, pro gear: Tama, Yamaha, Roland, QSC sound system etc. Ready to give Utah, another try... travel ok.
Truly it would be a shame if I should happen to die before I get the opportunity to play my decades long, lifetime acquired, essential, musical catalog again for the good people of Utah. What say you?
I eagerly await your replay, and ftlog plz not include the terms "kick as*", or "project", thx for your indulgence.
