This is a 1987 Salsa 58cm14 speed road bike in metallic black sparkle in nice condition.
This has a stand over height of 33 1/2" with a 13cm Stem. The top tube measures 56cm horizontally. Bars measure 42cm in width. Bike weighs in at 23 lbs. Will not come with pedals.
Everything is 100% original on this bike except for tires/tubes and maybe the brake pads. Has new bar grips installed.
This rides amazing, shifts and brakes great and rides whisper quiet. Nice and clean as seen. 7 gears in the back and 2 in the front.
The frame has some scratches on it as seen in close up pics, but looks great for its age. No dents. Wheels are true.
This was custom ordered back in the day from their Petaluma, California warehouse and during this time would have been hand built by Salsa Bikes founder and renowned frame builder Ross Shafer himself.
This is a steel bike. The chrome forks have a sticker on them that says "Cr Mo 4130" - not sure if that is what the frame is made of as well.
I am the second owner and knew the original owner. I believe he paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $2k for it.
Will be professionally packed and fully insured.
