At just over 4 months old, he is past the early puppy stage and already showing strong development. He is confident, steady, and has been raised with consistent handling in a family environment. This is a well-started pup that has had more time, attention, and exposure than a typical younger puppy.
He has been one we considered keeping, simply because of his temperament and presence. He is not the “leftover” of the litter — he is a solid, well-rounded dog that continues to grow and mature well.
Newfoundlands are known as gentle giants and are one of the premier working and water-rescue breeds. They are highly capable dogs with a natural instinct for helping, guarding, and bonding closely with their people. They do especially well in homes with space, active lifestyles, or property.
