Alfie is an owner surrender who is still adjusting to a lot of recent changes and recovering post-surgery . He tends to stay toward the back of his kennel, with slightly dilated pupils, and may pull back a bit when first approached. However, if you move slowly and give him time, he accepts gentle petting and will engage with an offered finger without hesitation. Outside of the kennel, he can be unsure in new environments, often hiding in a cubby or under furniture with a hunched posture and watchful eyes, especially reacting to fast movements or activity nearby. With calm energy and a patient approach, he begins to relax and will lean into affection once he feels safe. He is adoptable and would do best with an understanding adopter who is willing to give him the time and space he needs to decompress and build trust at his own pace ️ Alfie came from a hoarding situation where other cats had ringworm. While he is showing no signs and is currently available for adoption, we do recommend adopters take simple precautions just to be safe
