Okay, this is just electronic junk for parts/repair. Let whimsy be your guide! The only reason I got the DVR's back in the day (DI refugees) was to take the hard drives out. The pictures show that I was none too tender in my attempts to get past the proprietary fasteners. Obviously repair of these items is an unlikely prospect.
There are other poorly functioning or non-functioning A/V related items not pictured like some old PC monitors, a couple of Eureka vacuum cleaners with bum motors, some old inkjet printers, an HDTV with a broken screen, and even a small (like, 13 inch) CRT TV that only displays in a little 2 inch band across the middle of the screen.
