18 year old quarter horse. She’s never foaled! She can be ridden and knows what she is doing but she needs an experienced rider because she has bad habits. She’s been sitting in my pasture for years(about 2-3), I’ve got 4 small kids at home and haven’t been able to make time for this horse at all.. her bad habits are she tends to get buddy sour, she rides fine with her friend but she wants to run back to her if we ride away. I had broken this habit about 3 years ago with consistent riding and training but since I’ve pastured her she got sour again. She will stand tied but she does get scared if left alone and has broken 2 of my ropes, this is another issue that had great improvements a few years ago but I can’t speak for today! I hop on her bareback a couple of times a year right now and she does great when I ride her around the pasture but she hasn’t been out of it. She is eager to please and a quick horse too, she’s a lot of fun and I had a lot of time on her before having kids. If you have time to be consistent with her she will make you very happy!
