VenmoAntique German porcelain spill vase Victorian era theme of lovely lady holding an open vase Pastel color theme mold 3390 see back of Piece On bottom in black is 110 The back of this piece is not painted as was the norm for spill vases 8.75” high with a base diameter of 2.5” Manufactured in Germany in the late 19th to early 20th century In cleaning this piece I found a piece of paper on the inside that dates this piece to approximately 1875 The paper also mentions a figure with an orange colored jacket dating to the 1920’s. I also have that piece listed separately on my page A spill vases was originally meant to hold thin wooden tapers aka ‘spills’ used for lighting fireplaces and oil lamps before matches became affordable. Great condition. See video and photos. No chips. No cracks. She is exquisite and beautiful. Preowned.
