I never thought I’d be in a position to sell this mare, but due to life circumstances it’s what I need to do right now. This is Grace, a papered 2005 black and white tobiano APHA mare, about 15hh. She’s been my heart horse for years and has a lot of try and personality. She is finished on the barrel and pole patterns. When we were competing, she consistently ran 22s in poles and was a solid 3D barrel horse. I showed her in 4-H for 6 years, qualified for state every year, and placed 3rd overall one year. She has great ground manners, is easy for the farrier, up to date on shots and deworming, and an easy keeper. She trailers well and has been hauled a lot. She has never bucked in the 14 years I’ve owned her. She would be best suited for an intermediate rider or a confident kid looking for a stepup horse. She can be a little spooky at times, so not a beginner horse. She hasn’t been in consistent work the past several years just due to having kids and life getting busy, but I have ridden her recently and she still knows her job. With some conditioning, she could get back into shape and be competitive again. Only thing to note is she can be a little tricky going through gates, but she does fine once you figure out what works for her. This is a hard sale and I want her to go to a good home.
