VenmoOverviewMeet Kit, a 5-year-old female Maltese-Poodle mix (Maltipoo) looking for her forever home. She's white with warm light-brown throughout, soft curly hair, and she is genuinely a sweet and attentive dog.
Personality & TemperamentKit is affectionate, social, and thrives on attention. She's happiest when she's your shadow, and will consistently looks for opportunities to interact. She likes to play fetch, will entertain herself with a toy, and is quick, agile, and loves to jump. She is gentle with small children. Our 2-year-old is frequently grabby and overly enthusiastic, and Kit takes it in stride with patience and calm.
Health & HistoryKit has had one litter of puppies (approximately 3 years ago). No known health issues. Up to date on vaccinations (the following of which were all completed February 2026: DA2PP, Bordetella, Rabies Vaccine).
Full Transparency — What We Want You to KnowWe believe the right family deserves the full picture:
- Potty training: When she first came to us, she was having daily accidents in the house. After several months of consistent training, she rarely has accidents now. She just needs a home that continues the consistency.
- Escape tendency: Kit is crafty and can slip through small gaps when a door or gate is momentarily open. This behavior seems to be rooted in wanting connection. When she feels loved and secure, it essentially disappears. She ran away three times when she first arrived with us; after focusing on giving her more attention, the behavior seems to have gone away completely. We still leash her outdoors as a precaution.
- Barking: Typical of the breed. She is initially suspicious of new people and unknown noises. She responds well to the command "relax" paired with a treat. This is definitely manageable and continuing to improve.
- Licking: She shows affection by licking, and she does it a lot. If that is gross to you, this is not the dog for you.
Why Kit Is Being RehomedKit was raised from a puppy by my sister, who loved her deeply. As serious family health challenges mounted, caring for a dog who needs lots of attention became an overwhelming burden. We've been fostering her and investing in her training. She deserves an owner who can give her the undivided love and attention she craves, and she will be a great companion for that person.
Kit will thrive with: A family or individual who is home often, has time and attention to give, and has a secure yard or living space.
Rehoming fee: $75 (We are willing to lower the price for the right family situation.)
