ApplePayWe are heartbroken to have to find new forever homes for our two beloved dogs, Luna and Max. We have another home in Florida and are unable to take them with us when we travel, so we’re gone from home far too often these days. We’ve realized we can’t give them the time, attention, and love they truly deserve. They are wonderful dogs who deserve a family that can be with them more consistently.
Luna is a beautiful 7-year-old female Border Collie / Blue Heeler mix. She’s smart, sweet, and has the classic herding breed energy balanced with a calm, loving personality. She’s great with people of all ages, including kids, and loves going on walks and playing fetch.
Max is her 5-year-old brother (same mom, different dads). He’s a handsome Border Collie / Blue Heeler mix, possibly with some Rottweiler in him based on his markings. Max is energetic and playful, but also knows how to settle down. He’s very affectionate and does well with people and children too. He also loves walks and fetch.
Both dogs are kennel trained, potty trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. They know a good list of commands: sit, shake, speak, come, stay, leave it, lay down, and sometimes crawl and rollover. They love their walks and playtime but are also happy to relax. They’re mostly outdoor dogs but are well-behaved inside the house as well. They each have their own kennel, share a nice outdoor dog house, and come with leashes and other basics.
A few honest notes: • Max sometimes gets so excited he has occasional accidents (pretty infrequent now). • Max can be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs, so he would do best in a home without other dogs or with very slow, careful introductions.
They come from the same litter mother and have always lived together, but they don’t absolutely need to be kept as a pair if the right homes are found separately. That said, if someone wonderful wants to adopt them together, that would be ideal.
Luna and Max are both incredibly loyal, fun, and affectionate dogs who just want to be part of a family that has time to love on them, take them for walks, play fetch, and give them the attention herding breeds thrive on.
We are asking for a modest rehoming fee to help ensure they go to committed, loving homes and to offset some of the costs of their care over the years. If you have a loving, stable home with time to give these two the life they deserve, please reach out. We’re happy to answer any questions, share more photos and videos, and meet potential adopters in person (Lehi, Utah area). We want to make sure they go to homes where they will be happy, safe, and loved for the rest of their lives.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to anyone who considers giving Luna or Max (or both) a forever home.
