Venmo23-year-old gelding. Son to Royal Fletch (he was the 2000 NCHA open futurity champion and his progeny have found great success in cutting and reining events). On the bottom side, he’s a grandson of Dual Pep. He is ready to go make someone a fun, versatile horse.
He’s had an easy life overall, spending much of his time in the pasture, but also spent several years with a reputable reining trainer in Utah where he successfully competed in reining shows. He has not had any reining tune-ups in several years, but after only two rides in about a year and no tune-up he was spinning as well as ever and picked everything right back up quickly.
He’s been used extensively on pack trips and has ranch experience, including working cattle and roping out of the box. He has a natural stop, works well off his hind end, and would make a great breakaway prospect. While not hauled competitively in breakaway, he has experience backing into the box and roping.
He spins well, changes leads, will lay down some serious 11’s (especially with sliders on) and picks up his leads easily. Very athletic and quick-footed.
Due to his athleticism, he is not recommended for beginners or small children. He would be best suited for a confident, handy junior high or high school rider, or an experienced adult. He could also make a great, affordable rodeo queen prospect, or be a solid step-up horse for someone with experience who is starting to compete in reining and looking to build confidence in the maneuvers.
He has great feet, is sound, and has required no maintenance. He just had his teeth done/feet trimmed last week and has been wormed.
