Scout, one of our right week old mini Cockapoos, has some special needs. She was born with hydrocephalus, which is fluid that collects around the brain and puts pressure on it and in her case has caused at least partial blindness. We suspect she see a bit but can’t confirm that. Also her eyes make a twitching motion.

Scout has a few issues but she is a fighter. She is learning and growing along with the other pups. She is about the middle of the pack in terms of size. Scout can figure out where the food and water is with no trouble. She is playful with the other puppies and would do very well in a house with other dogs. She comes when we call for her and seems to know her name already. She is cuddly and sweet.

She is slower to do her new skills than the other puppies as she has more to navigate but improves everyday! Scout takes awhile to get used to her new surroundings and can bump into things at the beginning but is soon zooming around.

A little bit about us we’ve been breeders for eight years and I’ve actually never had a puppy with a special needs like this. All our puppies are born in our home with their kids, other dogs, cats, and chickens all puppies go through trainings with us to help them to be great family members. They also come with their first set of vaccinations, three deworming and a puppy pack to take home.
