VenmoBeautiful Barnevelder chickens! I have three two year old hens that are still laying that I have for sale. I also have three 12-13 week (unrelated) roosters that will be ready to protect and tend them as they mature just a bit more (this summer). Asking $40 for the pair. If you want the hens only I would sale them for $30 each. Barnevelder roosters are known for being very docile roosters and are generally not aggressive to pets, kids, or adults. We love them and are sold on this breed of chicken. We raise our own pure blood line birds and only keep barnevelders (going on 20 years now)!! With new chickens entering our flock we are able to part with a few of the older birds. Barnevelders are a rare breed of chicken that originated in Holland and were bred as a dual purpose bird. They do very well in the cold and lay over 180-200 eggs a year! You could get more if you put them in a lighted coop during the fall/winter. They lay for years and are a healthy breed of bird. The feathers are also stunning! They look even better in the sunlight!
