Rusty is a big, strong 5-year-old half-draft gelding standing 17 hands tall with a calm, gentle disposition and a personality that loves people. He has been used extensively on a ranch and has experience pushing cattle, herding cows in the mountains, packing, and some arena riding. He has been roped off of. Kids have ridden him quite a bit, and he has proven to be very gentle and easy to handle.

Rusty is still young and continuing his training, but he has had an excellent start and has all the potential to become a truly bomb-proof horse. Any acting up is usually a maturity thing and nothing serious. He is very calm-minded, dog gentle, and has the kind of personality that makes a safe and dependable horse.

He would do best with someone who can continue finishing him, but he has the potential to be the kind of horse anyone could ride. My 10-, 12-, or 14-year-olds can confidently ride him often. I would say he needs an intermediate rider.
