VenmoModern console table. I made it while trying to get myself back into wood working. I did it through high school and have missed it. This is my first project back.
I’d like to keep it, but would like to use the money to start another project, as I’d like to make a new bed frame and kitchen table. Your support is appreciated!
It measures; Depth: 9 1/2”, Height: 38 1/2”, Width: 50”
I went big with genuine walnut, thus the price. Walnut is an expensive wood. The boards were of correct width and length, meaning I did not have to glue anything, resulting in a consistent finish across each piece. I finished it with a combination of linseed oil and bees wax giving it a natural finish as opposed to a sticky lacquer. It has a minimalist design with two angled legs.
I did make a few small mistakes on joinery, as making pocket holes is a skill I am still practicing. I have made that visible in the pictures so you can consider if that is a dealbreaker to you or not. It is structurally sound.
The walnut boards came in at $487, but have adjusted price for other small materials, such as the finish and screws. My time is also considered in that. Therefore my ask is $650.
