We got this donkey from an older woman who isn’t physically able to take care of her horses as easily anymore. His feet were really long and he was rubbing his eyes (pictured last) like he had an allergy. After a much needed trim he stopped itching his eyes and now the are starting to heal up which makes us think it was a kind of secondary reaction to the pain he was feeling in his feet, or an allergy at her house. He hasn’t itched since. He is really easy going but a little unsure and unconfident, but I think he would learn anything really quickly. He leads really well for a donkey and loads and ties very well too. He is a sweet heart and not spooky or reactive so far. I have been putting vetricin and a fly mask on him to keep the flies off his eye area and it was very easy and no drama to put the mask on him and handle his ears. I bet he would make an awesome little pack donkey for hikes, or a beer burro, or just a little riding partner. He is a sweet guy.
