Upgraded red 2022 Honda Talon 1000 R Live Valve two seater with 1020 miles in excellent condition. Ownership was taken in April 2023 due to difficulty finding a new red car due to Covid. The Talon 1000R Live Valve machine is very capable, but to tackle the challenging trails in Utah improvements are highly recommended. This Talon has been modified to include all of the important changes to make the Honda the ultimate UTV. Riding off road in Utah requires a host of upgrades to maximize machine capabilities such as better ground clearance, a street legal kit, a winch, improved safety harnesses all which have been completed on this machine based on 40 years of off roading experience.

The Talon’s six speed dual clutch transmission (automatic or paddle shift) is far superior to the traditional belt drive systems used by many of the other name brands and eliminates all of the associated belt headaches. The Fox Live body shock system adjusts in milliseconds to the trail conditions with both normal and sport settings providing a superior ride to normal coil over shock systems.

This Talon has virtually every desirable upgrade you need to tackle whatever you can throw at it. The list of upgrades includes 30X10X15 tires, BX3 street legal kit, rear and side view mirrors, SuperATV 4500 lb. mount and winch, SuperATV glass windshield, Dirt Road heavy duty bed extender with spare tire carrier, spare wheel & tire included, Rival Powersports full frontal bumper with winch fairlead, Dragonfire four point 3” harnesses, Dragonfire UTV harness anchor system, 10-80 Dirt Sports 1.5” seat risers, EMP shift gate, Nilight LED front light bar and rear LED cubes, PBR Products Auxiliary battery box, True UTV dual battery kit and AGM battery, six circuit auxiliary fuse block with relays, custom four point heavy duty buss bar, auxiliary fuse box with relays to power electrical upgrades, 500 watt audio amplifier with head unit and four recess mounted 8” marine grade speakers, dual 24” light whips, Mudbusters front and rear mud guard extenders, 10-80 Dirt Sports intake pre-filter kit, KemiMoto frunk mud and dust shield, KemiMoto rear inner fender mud and dust shields, fire extinguisher with a quick disconnect, aluminum lower door panels, floor and center tunnel heat insulation below and above, CargoLoc roof top carrier in the bed for tools and accessories, removable side curtain windows, padding on the rollbar, fire extinguisher with quick release mounted to the roll cage, emergency jack with rollbar mount, and the list goes on. Documentation available for the upgrades and modifications that total well over $10,000 not including installation. Extensive documentation for all modifications, a Honda OEM shop manual, and several maintenance items are included with the sale. The machine was serviced per Honda’s recommendations at 150 miles, with subsequent services at 400, 600, and again at 1000 miles to ensure the machine is ready to go for a new owner. Each service included engine oil and DCT oil changes using Honda synthetic oil. Both the motor and DCT filters were changed, along with the front and rear differential fluid replacement. The car has been meticulously maintained, washed after rides, and garaged since new.

The 2021 Alcom 7.5X16 foot trailer is all aluminum finished in gloss black, dual axle, electric brakes, with upgraded aluminum mag wheels. The interior is finished with white paneled walls, a fully covered rubber floor mat, an overhead storage cabinet and Husky floor mounted cabinet, factory interior lights, an additional LED light bar, a spare wheel and tire. The anchor system is a front to back rail system with customizable locations for all four anchors. The man door is on the left/drive side to for improved safety entering and exiting the trailer. All exterior lighting is LED including overhead lights above the rear loading door. The trailer has been washed, ceramic coated, and garage kept since day one resulting in like new condition. Included in the sale is a spare set of brakes two left and right which were purchased just in case but never used. The trailer has only traveled about 600 miles.

My preference is a package sale of the Talon and trailer which is ideal for someone wanting a turnkey machine and trailer. Purchasing both is especially good if you are just getting into this sport, or if you are just getting into off roading and want a machine that doesn't require modifications to make it truely trail ready.
