They love everything about him but may not work out due to his prey drive and not being used to cats. He may get used to them, but it may be a temporary situation. Either way we are eternally grateful for anyone who considers this beautiful animal. What we do know is he is great with all people and all dogs! update3/12/2026 Even though he was found as a stray due to his dental health and age the humane society said they most likely will put him down due to quality of life. But I will continue to advocate for him to find a home because I see he has alot of life still in him! If you're interested in a perfect senior dog wanting to finish his life stretch of life with a loving home please consider meeting this guy.
He is a perfect walking companion. Barely Barks! Extremely friendly with other people and dogs. Not aggressive in the slightest! He doesn't go very fast on runs or hikes. But keeps up and can still jump inside the car. And hops around and tail going in circles when happy! I found him at a dog park. I rehabilitated his coat and his digestion issues. He has a hot spot on his left front paw. I think he licks it when he is stressed. It has improved. Due to his teeth he can't chew bones or kibble. So I gave him chicken soup with veggies. Sometimes rice, sometimes beans or Quinoa. And a vitamin a day. He loves to drink water! Loves to have his face in the wind. A highly intelligent, stoic, and wise dog. My landlord gave me 3 days. May 13th midnight would be the deadline. To get him out before I take him to the pound. But if this is still up before then we can rescue him from the pound. I imagine he is compatible with an older person. Or retired couple. A family dog even. Could fit in with another dog as a sibling. But I think he is needing lots of love and companionship. If he is getting equal attention and love I think it can work for his last few years of life. That's my hope for this guy. To be loved until it's time to leave this earth. I tell him stop, wait,cross, okay. And he listens off leash! Perhaps due to his age, he is the most obedient dog! He has also some lumps and tumors i think, not sure. Dut to his age, I'd say as long as he enjoys the last years of living. Exploring, hiking, getting snuggles at night he will die not lonely but loved and will make someone or pack happy. I have a bed for him. Some vitamins for him. They say to charge a fee for a dog. For a good person who can change his life the cost could be$0-50. I've been with him 2 weeks about now. I clipped his nails and expressed his anal glands. His ears were clean. And cleaned his poopy butt. So he is feeling lots better! We are hopeful someone can be interested in this old man! He is worth a million bucks!
