VenmoBurlap is a yearling ewe who lambed out this year. We are retaining her lamb and Burlap will be available when she weans her baby in July. She is a half-sister to Chocolate Mousse and Baked Alaska (same dam).
We practice biosecurity measures and our sheep are disease-tested for CAE/OPP, CL, Johne’s, Qfever, TB, & Brucellosis. She was born on our homestead last year and has not had any disease-testing done yet, but I’m happy to send in blood at buyer’s expense, if desired.
•Born 02/22/25 as a twin. Black-based SGGM and Grey. She carries moorit (brown). Her coloration has already changed a ton and I would expect her to grey out a little bit more over the years. Photos of when she was a lamb, from shearing last fall, and how she currently looks are listed so you can see the progression of her coloration so far. •Sire was 100% Icelandic, dam is high-percentage Icie with a splash of merino in her background. •Polled •Had a single lamb quickly and without complications as a first-time mama this year and I expect her to twin from now on. Has been an excellent mama! •Has 1 extra teat. Doesn’t have the longest teats, but has a decent little FF udder. •Her dam raises the biggest and fastest growing lambs, and I would expect Burlap to follow suit with her own lambs. Her dam is very hardy and has great parasite resistance, and at 10 years old she is still healthy, lambing well and has strong conformation that will continue to serve her well. •Burlap is friendly and comes up to see what you’re doing and eat out of your hand. •$400
