This Violin was specially made for a Margaret Berry in Texas back in 1943, by a World- renowned Violin maker. I don't know the story of how my Uncle got it, but he was a very well known Violinist across this country. He played for the Army and Marine Bands. The maker of this Violin is J.H. Stamps, he was an Imagrant from Europe. He is in the book for Violin makers. Before my Uncle passed away, he gave this Violin to his sister (my mother). And a few years later she gave it to me. I have kept it in a closet for years, before finally getting it looked at. I took it to Summerhays Music in Salt Lake City. Their Main guy for Violins took a look at it and fell in love. They did an appraisal on it for Between $5000.00 and $8000.00 with the case being worth $500.00. They said that this Violin is in Excellent Condition. That was back in 2000, i'm sure it has gone up since then. I have taken very good care of it. I'm asking for $5,500 or best serious offer.
