I’ve had this setup for about 2.5 years. Purchased everything brand new. No issues, runs smoothly, is pretty quiet, and is super easy to use with the Synology Quick Connect software (pre installed).
If you’re looking to upgrade your NAS setup, store files, or have your own server with plex, this is a great option. You can either mirror the drives and have 8TB of storage with a backup, or utilize all 16TB if you want.
I’ve provided screenshots of the health of the drives. I would expect them to have another 3-4 years of life at least. I’ve kept everything clean, dust-free, and in a cooler temperature at all times.
