ZelleGroot is a very playful chocolate lab. He is very loving and has a lot of energy. My daughter and husband have the best of intentions but are unable to give him the space he needs. When they took him in they had a home, but with the economy they are in a small 2-bedroom apartment with no outdoor space. They have a 4-yr old girl and a 1-year-old boy with a baby due on June 9th. Groot spends the majority of his life in a crate. It makes me so sad. Not just for Groot but for my daughter too. She is so busy with the kids she can't get him out for walks and he jumps on the kids because he has so much energy.
They have kept him like this for the last 3 years. They don't want to surrender him because they feel like that is irresponsible and that they made a commitment they should honor.
I have finally convinced them to allow me to help find Groot a home where he can get out of the crate and run around. I don't want to just put up an any ad and give him to the first person who responds. I'm hoping that someone can help me find him a good home. He deserves that after spending so much time in a crate. Please help!
