VenmoDoogles isn't for everyone, and that's okay. He's looking for someone who already knows that. He's a big, gentle soul who needs time. Time to trust you. Time to settle into a new home. Time to decide you're safe. When he gets there, he's calm, affectionate, and deeply loyal. Getting there takes patience most people underestimate.
What he's like: Doogles is calm and content indoors, happy to hang out near you without being in your face. He loves exploring and frolicking in a yard. He is crate trained and house trained with supervision. He does not do well with cats and will chase chickens.
What he needs you to understand: Doogles is shy. In new situations he may freeze, try to hide, or shut down, this is how he handles stress, not misbehavior. On leash in unfamiliar environments he can get nervous. He needs a home that will let him decompress on his own timeline, not yours.
Doogles has been in a couple of homes that weren't quite the right fit, the adjustment period he needs was more than those families expected. He's back with his breeder now, healthy and cared for, waiting for the home that's actually ready for him.
His ideal home: Experienced dog owners, ideally with fearful or shy dogs specifically Older kids (10+) or no kids Patient. Genuinely patient. Home enough to help him settle in during the first weeks No cats. No backyard chickens.
If you've successfully helped a nervous or shy dog come out of their shell before, Doogles may be exactly who you've been looking for.
Adoption fee: $200
