selling for my father in law Major is a 6 year old Percheron/Arabian cross who has covered countless miles in the mountains. He is a true hunters horse, having been exposed to many dead animals, led pack trains, traveled the roughest country, and crossed lots of large of rivers. He is good in a hotwire or being tied at night, and can hold his own in a large herd. He has seen bears from a distance and was not bothered. Major is the type of horse that will go all day without complaint. He neck reins and responds to leg pressure. Good to load, trim, and shoe. He would be ideal for a hunter, trail rider, or as a ranch horse for someone who knows what they are doing. I started him as a 2 yo and had him dragging logs and roping a dummy. I wouldn’t recommend him for a true beginner, as he is still a younger horse. The only reason my FIL is selling him is because he has a handful of younger horses he needs to prioritize his time with. Seller has a 7 day money back guarantee if buyer decides that Major is not the horse for them.
