The original "FAST ACTION SAFE". Designed to safely store most full size semi-auto handguns and medium frame revolvers and allow very fast retrieval when needed. A full size 1911 will fit in this safe. A Ruger SP101 and similar size revolvers will also fit since the cylinder diameter measures under 1.4". (Most large frame 6 shot .357 revolvers, i.e., Ruger GP100, are too wide at the cylinder for this safe and need a larger holster. Use FAS1-Magnum). The maximum overall length of the gun needs to be under 8.75" to fit in this safe.
There is a maximum of 6.75" in height available inside this safe under the lock. That would be the maximum overall height measurement of your gun that will fit inside this safe.
Manufactured in the U.S.A. utilizing 3/16" steel plate (7 GA) for the door and all sides. The hinged door is recessed and has a door jamb to discourage prying. Solid 3/8" hinge pin is welded in place and covered when the door is closed. The handgun is mounted in the tactical light holster to the underside of the door. A gas spring opens the hinged door approx. 65° rapidly to present the firearm to the user in a consistent manner for ease of retrieval when the proper combination is entered and the knob twisted 1/4 turn clockwise.
Uses a Simplex mechanical push-button lock for simple, durable, and reliable operation. You set the combination. No batteries, electricity, or fingerprint scan to malfunction.
