Almost a year old laying hen, she lays beautiful mint colored eggs!!!!! (Not right now though, because she is broody) She has been broody for about 3 weeks, so if you wanted to you could put a few eggs under her for a day or so and then almost immediately switch them out for chicks!! She WAS extremely healthy, but of all my hand-raised flock, she is so skittish and bottom of the pecking order, so being broody is making her eat even less. I'm very worried about her once she's done being broody and starts integrating back into the flock.
She's really sweet, but the reason everyone picks on her is probably because she's also super annoying! As she was beginning to be broody she literally crawls UNDERNEATH the other hens while they're trying to lay, so that she can sit on their eggs.
We have a raised coop, so it is COMPLETELY bug free and clean. Also, the top of her head was painted black, so that I could distinguish her from her 2 americauna sister that all look so similar, while I was trying to always kick her out of the nesting box as she first became broody. I've obviously given up, and I don't want her because I don't love her anymore. Because she is annoying. 🤣🤣🤣️ Please buy her from me.
