VenmoSelling a solid, reliable aluminum-frame fat bike built up by local shop Thin Air. This is a great entry-level winter or trail rig, specifically sized for taller riders. The bike runs well, shifts smoothly, and is completely ready to ride. I have had some awesome adventures on it and, as a taller rider who rides aggressively, I have stress-tested this thing on numerous occasions. It always performed awesome. This was my have-fun bike in high school: from long mountain bike rides in Corner Canyon to a 160-mile 2 day bike-packing trip to and from the Uintas, to snow rides in the winter, I’ve put it through its paces, and it has come out solid as ever. Still relatively low miles and performs extremely reliably despite its somewhat outdated components.
Specs & Features: Drivetrain: 3x9 setup (Shimano SLX front derailleur / Shimano Altus rear derailleur)
Brakes: Bengal mechanical disc calipers with Tektro levers (reliable, simple cable system, easy to adjust).
Tires: High-volume KHS fat bike tires with plenty of tread left. 26x4.0.
I have always stored this indoors and kept it tuned and cleaned.
History & Condition: Originally part of a local shop rental fleet, meaning it was professionally maintained from the start. I bought it and have put about 550 trouble-free miles on it. It shows normal cosmetic wear from typical trail use, but has no structural issues, dents, or cracks.
