We are looking for a loving new home for our sweet Great Pyrenees, Honey.
We have had Honey since March 2023. We were told she was around 2 years old when we got her, so she is approximately 4–5 years old now. She originally came from Honeyville, Utah.
Honey is a very sweet, calm, and well-behaved girl. She has been raised around cats, corgis, and small children. She currently lives with 4 cats, a corgi, and 3 kids, and she has done very well with them. She is housebroken, kennel trained, and knows commands like sit and shake.
Honey spends most of her time indoors and loves being around people. She is gentle, affectionate, and has been good with our family and visitors.
The reason we are rehoming her is because we have struggled to keep her safely contained in our yard. She needs a home with a secure, tall fence and more room than we are able to provide. Her previous owners also mentioned that she had gotten out and eaten nearby chickens, so we would not feel comfortable placing her as a livestock guardian dog.
Honey is not fixed.
This decision is very difficult for our family, but my daughter has allergies and severe asthma, and Honey has had to spend more time separated from the main living area than she deserves. We are also in a time-sensitive situation, as we have family needing to stay with us soon, and our current setup is no longer manageable or fair to Honey.
We are hoping to find her the right home as soon as possible, while still making sure it is a safe and loving fit. She would do best with someone who understands Great Pyrenees and has a secure yard.
I am willing to travel to nearby states for the right home if it means Honey will have a safe, loving place where she can truly thrive.
Please message me if you think you may be a good home for Honey.
