The dryer had not been switching on so I replaced the thermal fuse and it worked but it's not yet heating, so chances are it needs a high-limit thermostat, which is pretty easy to do and inexpensive to buy, but a friend gave us their dryer about this time, so we are giving our old one away to someone who could use it. There are two extra thermal fuses that came with the one that I installed as well which are also free.
