Bassett brand dresser in light honey-toned wood (I assume pine) with hints of whitewash. Rustic in a farmhouse/cottage kind of way. We bought this used with signs of use and then a friend used it for a year, so it is not close to perfect, but looks decent enough.
On two drawers there's a little strip of wood missing on the inside of the opening on one side. (I've shown a photo what it looks like missing and what it looks like when it's there). The strips on each side of the opening prevent the drawer from pushing in too far, so these should be replaced, though it has been used for a year without them. The backing (on the back of the whole dresser) is also loose at the top, but a few finish nails would take care of that.
No bad odors. Drawers slide nicely wood on wood, not with metal tracks.
