3 year old red roan mare with a lot of feel and a lot of future. She’s been brought along slow and correct with a good foundation underneath her. Soft in the face, moves off your legs good, and has a big stop coming on her.
She’s been ridden a lot in a hackamore and is currently going in what I’d call a “poor man’s two rein,” carrying both the hackamore and snaffle. She’s learning to stay soft, broke, and guide one handed while still keeping her confidence and forward feel. She handles it really good and has been coming along the right way without being rushed.
She’s been used outside, tracked cattle, worked the dummy, and has the kind of mind and athletic ability to go about any direction a person wants. I think she’d make a heck of a team roping, calf roping, breakaway, or all around high school horse. I’ve been training her with the goal of becoming a solid NRCHA prospect. She’s tracked cattle, worked the dummy, and been exposed to the kind of training that’s building a good foundation for a cow horse. She’s cowy, gritty, and wants to work.
She’s not just arena broke either. She’s been ridden outside and handles herself good. No buck or stupid stuff. Still a young horse so I’m not advertising her as a babysitter horse, but she’s got a solid start and the right kind of mind.
She’s the kind that catches attention standing at the trailer or walking into the pen. Pretty red roan color, good hip, and classy looking.
She is Riata Buckle eligible.
