Hi, I’m Dax!

I’m a 1-year-old Great Dane/Newfoundland mix, which means I’m basically a gentle giant in training.

Seriously… I am TALL. Like, “you can probably see me from across the room” tall. And I have the "Great Dane Lean-into-you" charm. But underneath all these long legs is a super sweet, well-mannered boy who just wants to be part of a loving family.

My family made the heartbreaking decision to surrender me after falling on hard times. They wanted a better situation for me, and it’s obvious they cared a lot because they made sure I came here with a really solid foundation.

I’m house trained and crate trained, and I already know some basic commands like sit, stay, and wait. I’ve also been around other dogs, cats, and kids of all ages, and I’m said to do well with all of them.

One of the best things about me? My temperament. I’ve got a really nice energy level, not too wild, not too lazy. I’m playful and fun without being over-the-top, and I seem to genuinely enjoy just being around people.

I’m still young, so I’ll continue learning and growing, but I already have the makings of an amazing family dog. I’m the kind of dog who could happily join you for adventures and then stretch out beside you at the end of the day like the oversized cuddle bug I am.

I’m not neutered yet, but my adoption fee includes a neuter voucher.
