WE HAVE KEPT THIS IN A ZIPPERED ENCASEMENT SINCE ACQUIRING IT USED 2 YEARS AGO. It was previously owned with very little use when I got it. At the time, my son's box springs were creaky so I replaced it with this and THIS HAS NOT CREAKED AT ALL. 9" tall, other dimensions are typical twin size.
There was a lot of DAMAGE TO THE FABRIC UNDERSIDE/BACKING WHEN I ACQUIRED IT, though they had tried to staple it up. This didn't matter to me since I knew I'd be putting the encasement on it.
YOU ARE WELCOME TO HAVE THE WHITE ENCASEMENT that has been on it, though the bed frame has worn a couple holes in it, so it isn't perfect either (and I haven't washed it since before I put it on two years ago).
This is not a true box springs. IT IS WOOD SLAT CONSTRUCTION, WITH NO SPRINGS IN IT. It provides support but not bounce. My son was happy with it but we just switched our kids to Twin XL, so this needs to go.
I HAVE 2 CLEAN TWIN MATTRESSES LISTED AS WELL. I could have had all of these hauled off for free when the new beds were delivered but thought these could be of use to someone.
