ApplePayThis is my Dad's original 1970 Honda CL350 Scrambler. He bought it new in 1970. I was only 10, but I was there. He was a pharmacist and engineer. He took care of his vehicles like no one I ever met since. He only drove it once and a while. Never off road. Never tipped over. It was his baby.
The bike is powered by a 325cc parallel-twin paired with a five-speed transmission and is finished in Candy Ruby Red. Equipment includes a chrome high-mount exhaust system, both kick and electric starters, dual Keihin carburetors, 19″ and 18″ wire-spoke wheels, drum brakes, center and side stands, dual mirrors, and a black vinyl-upholstered two-up seat.
The bike is finished in Candy Ruby Red with white accents, and equipment includes turn signals, chrome fenders, passenger footpegs, dual mirrors, both center and side stands, a chain guard, and a black vinyl-upholstered two-up seat with a grab strap.
The 18″ and 19″ wire-spoke wheels wear Heidenau tires that were reportedly mounted under current ownership. Suspension consists of a telescopic fork as well as dual shocks mounted to the swingarm. Braking is handled by front and rear drums, the front of which features a twin leading-shoe design. Imperfections are noted on the wheels.
A chrome cross-braced handlebar is mounted to the top triple clamp via a riser and fronts Nippon Seiki instrumentation consisting of a 110-mph speedometer and a tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 5,186 miles.
The 325cc four-stroke parallel-twin features dual Keihin carburetors and was factory rated at 33 horsepower and 19 lb-ft of torque. The bike is equipped with a high-mount chrome exhaust system as well as both kick and electric starters.
NOTE: I took it to our local Honda Dealer and they replaced tires (it still had the original tires, but they were cracked) and brakes. The carberators need rebuilt as the dealer was no longer able to buy new ones, and their policy was not to use aftermarket parts. That is all it needs for you to own a perfect 56 year old Honda Classic.
